Conor McGregor On Alexander Volkanovski Fight: ‘I’ll Enjoy That Whole F-king Thing’

Connor McGregor hasn’t been an elite fighter for years, but he can still fight for the title by showing interest in a matchup with featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovsky.

Volkanovsky told on TMZ Sports “It’s always going to be a big fight, there’s always going to be money, there’s going to be a circus, it’s going to be entertaining, it’s going to be fun, I’m going to enjoy the whole F-King thing.”

Connor McGregor has lost just 1-3 in MMA matches since 2016 and repeatedly to Dustin Poirier. Volkanovski, meanwhile, has been on the rise since joining UFC with 11 straight wins and 21 straight overall. He is currently the only No. 2 pound-for-pound fighter behind Kamaru Usman in the UFC.

Even with his success, the Australian wants to prove himself against someone he calls a “division legend.”

The 145-pound Volkanowski has already beaten multiple former champions, including Max Holloway and Jose Aldo. The win over former two-time champion McGregor, who was once considered one of the best fighters in the world, will be another impressive victory in his biography.

Connor McGregor always adds a big commercial draw only to apply for a potential pay-per-view competition.
