On Saturday, May 14 at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, United States and here Jan Blachowicz will meet Aleksandar Rakic for UFC Fight Night 209 in a 5-round light heavyweight bout .
Former Light Heavyweight Champion Jan Blachowicz will begin his ascent to the top of the 205-pound mountain when he collides with the Striking Division “Rocket” Aleksandar Rakic on May 14, 2022 on the upcoming return of the battle on APEX on the ESPN + digital network.
A light heavyweight fight between former UFC Light Heavyweight and KSW Champion Jan Błachowicz and Aleksandar Rakic is expected to serve as the headliner of the event. Before them ESPN: Blaydes vs. Daukaus was scheduled to win the UFC title, but Błachowicz withdrew due to an injury and the fight was called off.
Former Strikeforce and UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Miesha Tate and former Invicta FC Bantamweight Champion (also former UFC Women’s Flyweight Championship Challenger) Lauren Murphy said the event was a women’s flyweight competition. However, for unknown reasons the bout was moved to UFC 276.
Ryan Spann and Ion Cuțelaba are expected to be seen in light heavyweight bouts at the event. The pair had previously been scheduled to fight in the UFC Fight Night: Makhachev vs. Green, but the span was pulled due to injury.
